Jesper Theil Hansen
Cheif Technical Officer

Jesper has spent the majority of his professional career concentrating on designing and building exceptional business application software. He’s worked to create and improve platforms, tools, and to craft friendly user interfaces that promote a positive user experience. Jesper was among the first developers hired by Damgaard Data, and was instrumental in the development of the popular Microsoft XAL (formerly Concorde XAL) and Microsoft Dynamics AX (formerly Axapta) products. For the latter, he also worked to create the Web portal and Internet parts.

Jesper also spent two years working in the U.S. as a technical evangelist and product manager, which included close interaction with American partners and customers on various Dynamics AX implementations. His knowledge and skills were also used extensively for presales and various other product support activities.

In 2002 Jesper returned home to his native Denmark, and was recruited by Microsoft to help build the user interface and user experience aspects of the next generation of the business applications software platform. He managed the team that built the new client software and user interface to Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and was part of the group that defined the future user interface and user experience for all Microsoft Business Applications.

Much of Jesper’s personal time is split between by his wife, one teenage daughter, two grown boys and one grandchild. He and his wife travel as much and as often as possible to the great cities of the world, but they also prioritize family and always reserve vacation time for their annual “extended family” vacation, which they spend with grandparents, uncles, and aunts.

When he isn’t jetsetting with his family, Jesper is one of many to be bitten by the Texas Hold’em bug. He plays for fun both on the Internet and live at local tournaments. The game challenges Jesper’s competitive nature and intellect, and he enjoys exploring (and capitalizing on) the psychological nuances of other players. Jesper also uses a lot of vacation time on his snowboard, which he took up relatively recently after his son insisted that it was the only way to be “cool” on the slopes.
