Steen Andreasen
Software Engineer

Steen has been a software developer on ERP systems since 1995. During this time he has gained a wide range of knowledge about all standard Microsoft Dynamics AX™ (formerly Axapta) modules through experience working on the standard package and customer-specific solutions.

Back in 1997/1998 Steen was a team member on one of the first Microsoft Dynamics AX projects, working in Turkey to localize the product for the Turkish market. He later became part of the MindKey Group team that created Human Resources for Microsoft Dynamics AX, and continued to work for several years to improve and further develop this product.

Steen finds it challenging to use his knowledge to help and guide others. As he says, “By transferring your knowledge to others, you get a step further yourself.” For several years he has been up to this challenge, and successfully managed a multitude of development projects. In 2006 Steen also wrote and published MORPHX IT, the first book about programming third-party solutions for Microsoft Dynamics AX. MORPHX IT is an instructional book that introduces the concepts behind the power and flexibility of the object-oriented X++  programming language, and teaches developers the techniques they need in order to build their own applications to supplement Microsoft Dynamics AX. The book has been sold in more than 50 countries, and is available in several language versions. When Steen isn’t working, or doing research for his next book, he can be found either spending time with his family, shredding the local skate park, or playing squash.
